Introduction

Universal Rosscam is a high-end full service organization that offers a wide range of staffing services. Founded in 1981 by Mark Evans and Joseph Campo, Universal Rosscam continues to experience tremendous growth in its service areas.

Situation & Challenge

Technologies come and go. Products that are mainstays of businesses processes today will be dim memories in the future. Universal Rosscam’s web site is a good example of this. Therefore, for Universal Rosscam to maintain its competitiveness and its leadership in the industry, it had to redo its web site.

The first challenge here is that Universal Rosscam has been in business for more than 25 years. Over that period, quite a lot of data have been accumulated and stored on their web site. Other additions have also been added to their system.

The second challenge is that the overhaul has to be done without impacting the staff and clients of Universal Rosscam who would continue to use the system through out the project duration.

The Opportunity

We approached the Senior Management of Universal Rosscam, submitted our proposal to them, and assured them that we were equal to the task.

The Strategy

The plan was to first build the web interfaces separately on our server, then integrate them to the database. The integration would have to be done overnight, or on a statutory holiday in order not to impact the staff and clients of Universal Rosscsam.

As planned, we first designed and built the web interfaces. During the design of the web interfaces, special attention was given to the aesthetics and functional needs of the system users. After the web interfaces were built, they were then integrated to the database. The integration was done on a statutory holiday.

Result

The Biztek Group was able to deliver to Universal Rosscam, a highly robust and reliable web site that meets their business needs, with no cost or time overruns.
